About Tour Dois Irmãos

The story of Tour Dois Irmãos begins even before the company itself. Its founder, Alex, was born and raised in the Vidigal community in Rio de Janeiro. As a resident of the community, he grew up knowing its streets, its paths, its culture and the stories that make up local life up close.

Before turning his passion for tourism into a business, Alex already worked informally on the beach, where he had daily contact with tourists from all over Brazil and the world. It was through these encounters that he began showing visitors a different side of Rio de Janeiro, beyond the traditional tourist spots.

Over time, he started guiding tourists through experiences around the city, especially in the Vidigal community and on the Dois Irmãos hike — places that are part of his own story.

His experience also extends to Rocinha, one of Rio de Janeiro's largest communities, which Alex knows well. This background lets him show visitors different perspectives on these communities, always aiming for a respectful, safe and authentic experience.

With every tour, new connections were made. What started simply grew into a genuine passion for welcoming people, sharing stories and showing the many faces of Rio de Janeiro.

That's how, in January 2025, Tour Dois Irmãos was officially born.

The company was founded with a clear purpose: to offer visitors experiences that go beyond simply seeing places. We want to build a real connection with Rio de Janeiro, valuing its landscapes, its culture, its communities and the people who make up this city.

Today, Tour Dois Irmãos offers experiences across Rio de Janeiro, with a focus on Vidigal, the Dois Irmãos hike and Rocinha, as well as other destinations that reveal the city's diversity and beauty.

Our journey is still being written. We grow with every tour, every guest and every story shared.

And we carry on with the same purpose that started it all: showing Rio de Janeiro through the eyes of those who truly know and live in the city.
